Some recovery has occurred after the devastating, Turkey River Flood of 2008, and the The Motor Mill is now open for tours. Important note the Motor Mill Campground remains closed.
Camping
Eight campsites are available to campers on a first come first serve bases at Motor Mill. Campsites are available at a rate of $7/night. Campers are asked to self register. Many canoeists take advantage of this spectacular camping location.
Canoeing
A popular canoe ramp is located at Motor Mill near the camp ground. The Turkey River offers a great canoeing experience and Motor Mill is located about a 2 ½ hour float from Elkader. From Motor Mill one can float to Garber which is another 5 hours. You will have a great opportunity to view wildlife and some good fishing.
