2007 Annual Report

The 2007 May to October Motor Mill Tour season brought a total of 1,291 people from 26 states and 2 countries for tours.

Grant Info :
Clayton County Foundation for the Future
$1,000 Funds were used to purchase floor joists for the mill. 

Dubuque Racing Association
$3,100 Funds were used for the purchase of floor joists and flooring for the mill.

Upper Mississippi Gaming Corporation
$2,000 Funds were used for the purchase of 10 windows for the mill.

The National Trust for Historic Preservation
$1,500 Funds will be used to have an engineering and architectural report completed along with a repair cost estimate done for the Inn and Stable at Motor Mill.

The Motor Mill received $55,400 to replace the deteriorating roofs on the Mill and the Inn. The grant moneys were a portion of $850,000 awarded by the Iowa State Historical Society this past month for preservation projects throughout the state.

The Clayton County Conservation Board has been awarded a REAP/Historical Resource Development Program (HRDP) grant for $38,500 for work on the Motor Mill. Read More
